I have tried changing the resolution in 'settings', but it will not change. And the resolution for the TV screen is set to the second monitor's resolution, which is incorrect. Essentially, it is as though I now have only two monitors in the extended-desktop setup. However, after installing EZCast and selecting the 'Mirror Extension' option, content on the second monitor is now mirrored on (not extended to) the TV screen. That setup permitted me to open browsers with different content on all three screens. The link to the TV was via an HDMI cable to the respective ports on both devices. The connection to the monitor is via a standard cable attached to the laptop's port.
